The fact that he managed to reach that number of subscribers is no doubt impressive considering Speed has been given a two week-long ban from YouTube recently due to streaming content that broke the service’s guidelines. He has since asked the platform’s moderators to double-check if the ban was truly deserved and not done by the algorithm blindly. While letting his fans on social media know about his suspension, IShowSpeed publicly commented that he wished he had hoped to have reached 10 million subscribers before such a ban was given out.

With the goal set by the man himself, those who enjoy watching his particular streams banded together and subscribed in order to push him over the threshold. The account reached ten million subscribers in a mere six hours after Speed lamented having not reached the mark he desired, which led him to thank his fans shortly after for helping him reach the goal on social media.

In response, several fans are congratulating Speed on the milestone while also taking the time to let him know how much they inspire him in the comments. Other streamers such as Adin Ross have also spoken about how the high number of subscribers is most definitely deserved as Speed works the hardest to get to the heights he’s at today.

However, as much as IShowSpeed may have earned his subscribers, it could be argued that he’s also worthy of his controversial reputation. The reason behind Speed’s permanent ban on Twitch deals with comments that the content creator had made that were seen as sexual harassment. Afterwards, Speed was then banned from playing Valorant for the same offenses, with one of the producers at Riot Games saying that they “do not want players like him in their community at all.”

While IShowSpeed’s ban on YouTube is said to be temporary currently, the YouTuber announced his subscriber milestone on Instagram by saying “we did it all, goodbye,” which may imply he’s done using the platform. For those who helped him reach the goal he desired, hopefully IShowSpeed may be back on YouTube sooner rather than later.
